By    M.    McCary,    these    findings    in    draft    were    presented    at    Osher    Lifelong Learning   Institute   -   Highland   Lakes .         Texans      have      a      rich      tradition      of     excellence   some   of   which      is   attributed      to      great      Alumni      of      the      Virginia     Military      Institute.            In      Pace      Decus,      In      Bello      Praesidium — " In   Peace      a      Glorious Asset,      In      War      a      Tower      of      Strength ".      Among      those   Alumni      is   the      21st     Governor      of      the      State      of      Texas,      Charles      Allen      Culberson ,      VMI      Class      of      1874.           He   followed   in   peace,      14      distinguished      alumni      who      served      at      the      Battle      of     New      Market       on      15      May      1864.         Here’s   to   those   who   answered      a      call      of      duty,     and      then      led      remarkable      lives      in      peacetime.      With      their   leadership,      great     Texas      traditions      carry      forward      to      Texas      Military      Institute,      Texas      Agricultural     &   Mechanical   (TAMU) ,      Baylor ,      through      colorful   careers.         Some      wounded.      All     to  be  honored.  Here’s  a  toast  to a few Texas greats.  See Texas Archives . Public   and   private   entities   can   leverage   a   library’s   digital   resources   to   accelerate the   development   of   critical   technologies   through   horizon   scanning,   targeting, early    warning,    alert    services,    digital    exploitation,    and    cross-domain    delivery. Library   resources   play   a   key   role   in   strengthening   the   research   capabilities   of public   and   private   entities.   However,   current   library   trends   threaten   cutting- edge proprietary research intended for only very private audiences.
